HelloGutters has special miter boxes for those steep valleys where excessive water accumulates. We are the only factory trained, authorized dealer and installer for the LeafSolution miter boxes in Alabama.
The idea behind splash guards is well intended. Unfortunately, the unseen areas will suffer because the debris has no escape and must remain and build up causing even more damage. The only solution is to remove the problems.
LeafSolution's patented miter boxes catch and divert rain water into the gutter system without the need for those debris catching splash guards. plus they look much better!
Not every gutter system needs the extended miter boxes, but in cases where extra protection is needed, then we have the solution.
The other two companies to consider for gutter protection is LeafFilter and LeafGuard. Both are good and bad for different reasons.
LeafGuard pros and cons:
LeafGuard is a good system if no trees are present. The system works 95% of the time, however, if trees are present, the gutters will eventually become clogged from the 5% that does get into the gutters. If you have existing gutters, those must be replaced and LeafGuard must install a different system. LeafGuards receives a two-star performance review.
LeafFilter pros and cons:
LeafFilter is made of vinyl and when exposed to hot temperatures will warp and detach from the gutter system. LeafFilter is a good product for northern states where roof temps stay cooler, but starting around middle Tennessee, the roof edges become too hot and LeafFilter will begin to warp and malfunction as a result. In addition, the mesh detaches easily because of the glueing method. LeafFilter receives a two-star rating.
